As a sensationalistic writing, the prose is all about emotion, and little logic. Bottom line: people come from all walks of life and they also are given choices as to the outcome of their lives. There are plenty of people in the world exposed to more exacerbating circumstances than Susan Smith who chose to overcome their hardship and make a positive difference. I would rather have read a more objective account that addressed the survivors of this tragedy instead of showboating for the murdering mother.

I give 3 stars considering the back cover was ripped and there is a lot of visible damage to the book. However, the inside of the book is readable and it doesn't effect that area.
This was a hood account of the murders. I don’t believe she should be in jail thirty years later as I don’t feel she is a menace to society. Could probably do with some parenting classes.

i guess because it wasnt written from either the police or prosecuter's point, it just didnt keep my attention too long.
